Project Overview: The second phase of the project was approved in November 2014 (Su Ma Jing Fa [2014] No. 104). Due to changes in the name of the construction unit, investment amount, construction progress, etc., in December 2019, Wancho Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. applied for a change in the project approval and obtained the approval for the second phase of the project after the change on December 16, 2019 (Su Ma Jing Fa [2019] No. 60). The total investment for the second phase of the project is 212.5289 million yuan. On the basis of the first phase, an additional 34.85 acres of land will be added, with a scale of 4.5 × 104m3/d. The construction will be divided into three stages, each with a scale of 1.5 × 104m3/d. At the same time, supporting pipeline construction will be carried out, and the designed effluent quality will comply with the Class A standard of the "Pollutant Discharge Standards for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants" (GB18918-2002). The tail water will be discharged into the Xinhe River. After completion, the total scale of the sewage treatment plant in the northern part of the Ma'anshan Modern Industrial Park (High speed Railway New City) in Suzhou will reach 6.0 × 104m3/d..

Ⅱ、 Possible environmental impacts during the production process of this project
(1) Waste gas: The main pollutants in this project's waste gas are the foul odors generated by various sections of the biochemical treatment system, including the inlet section, hydrolysis tank, anaerobic tank, sludge disposal section, etc.
(2) Noise: The project noise mainly comes from induced draft fans, various pumps, etc.
(3) Wastewater: The wastewater generated in this project mainly includes incoming wastewater and domestic sewage generated within the factory.
(4) Solid waste: The project will generate a certain amount of solid waste during the production process, mainly including grid slag, sand settling, sludge, waste engine oil, waste packaging bags, employee household waste, etc.

Ⅲ、 The countermeasures and measures taken in this project to prevent or mitigate adverse effects
1. Wastewater
The incoming wastewater and wastewater within the factory area are discharged into the sewage treatment system of this project. After being treated through hydrolysis acidification+C-A2/O+deep treatment process, the wastewater meets the Class A standard of the "Pollutant Discharge Standards for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants" (GB18918-2002), and the tail water is discharged into the Xinhe River.

2. Waste gas
The main pollutants in the waste gas of this project are the odors generated by various sections of the biochemical treatment system, including the inlet section, hydrolysis tank, anoxic anaerobic tank, sludge disposal section, etc. The second phase of the project plans to cover and collect them in the grid tank, hydrolysis tank, anoxic anaerobic tank, sludge concentration tank, and conditioning tank. The sludge dewatering room frame machine and sludge screw conveyor will be covered and collected to prevent odors from escaping. After collection, the odorous gases will enter the biological deodorization system and be centrally treated before being discharged at a height of 15 meters. There are two sets of deodorization devices in total; Organized ammonia and hydrogen sulfide shall comply with the odor pollutant emission standards in Table 2 of the "Odor Pollutant Emission Standards" (GH14554-93); The discharge of unorganized odorous gases shall comply with the second level standard of "Maximum allowable concentration of waste gas emissions at the boundary (edge of protective belt)" in Table 4 of the "Pollutant Discharge Standards for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants" (GB18918-2002).

3. Noise
Utilize the factory building for equipment sound insulation, take effective sound insulation, absorption, and vibration reduction measures for sound sources, and install sound insulation covers or mufflers for production equipment with strong sound power levels to ensure that the factory boundary noise meets the requirements of Class 3 standards in the "Industrial Enterprise Boundary Environmental Noise Emission Standard" (GB12348-2008).

4. Solid waste
The grid residue from the sewage treatment plant is dehydrated and sent to the sanitary landfill in Suzhou City; After dewatering, the sand is sent to the sanitary landfill in Suzhou City; The remaining sludge after treatment is sent to the sanitary landfill in Suzhou City; Household waste should be handed over to the local environmental sanitation department for disposal; Dispose of waste engine oil by qualified units; Comprehensive utilization of waste packaging bags.

5. Environmental risk
The project risk assessment level is a simple analysis, and the unit has formulated risk prevention measures, risk management measures, and risk emergency plans. The risk level of this project is acceptable.
