Its business scope covers a wide range of fields, including environmental and water engineering design, construction, and operations & maintenance; R&D and manufacturing of intelligent environmental equipment and water pollution treatment chemicals; new energy technology services; development and operation of smart water management systems; inspection, testing, and integrated remediation of air, soil, and water environments; environmental stewardship services; R&D of environmental water technologies; as well as import and export of technologies and goods.
Leveraging models such as Public-Private Partnership (PPP), Rehabilitate-Operate-Transfer (ROT), and Engineering-Procurement-Construction-Operation (EPCO), the company has successfully constructed and operated numerous high-impact, economically efficient sewage treatment projects across China. At present, it operates 12 municipal sewage treatment plants and 115 township-level sewage treatment stations, located in Suzhou, Hefei, Ma’anshan, Huaibei and Bengbu in Anhui Province as well as Weinan in Shaanxi Province, with a total daily treatment capacity of 415,000 m³ and a pipeline network extending 422 km in operation and maintenance. In the field of water environment management, the Company was entrusted in 2023 with the sole national pilot project for the remediation of black and odorous water bodies in Anhui Province.
In terms of organization, the company operates with 12 internal departments or functional centers, including the Technology R&D Centre, the Business Development Centre, and the Audit & Supervision Department. It oversees 17 subordinate entities, with holdings in 1 associate company, including 3 branch companies, 9 wholly-owned subsidiaries, and 5 holding subsidiaries. Wancho currently employs 311 staff members, with an average age of 36. Among them, 158 hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, 30 hold postgraduate qualifications, and 80 possess intermediate or senior professional titles. In 2024, Wancho successfully secured a project under the Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Programme. The project is titled "Development and Application of Fluoride Resource Recovery and Advanced Defluorination Technology for Fluoride-Containing Wastewater". By leveraging this specialized environmental protection initiative as a strategic breakthrough, the Company aims to address critical environmental challenges while pursuing a path of leapfrog development.
While maintaining positive business growth, Wancho is also proactively engaging with capital markets to explore new opportunities. It was officially listed on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ) on 5 April 2017, and entered the NEEQ Innovation Tier in 2021.
